When most people think of woodturning they picture a wooden bowl or pen, but the art of turning is so much more. It stretches the imagination to include functional pieces like that nice salad bowl, or a vase that captures your interest through color or design, to those pieces that make you wonder; How did he do that? or simply, Wow!
Texturing, staining, piercing, carving, pyrography, multi-axis turning, combining different woods and material are just a few of the creative skills that add embellishments to a skillfully turned piece that take a raw material into the realm of art.
